Ana María
Pérez Jiménez

Ana María Pérez Jiménez (1991) has a Bachelor in Classical Guitar by the Royal Conservatory of Music of Granada (Spain) and in Jazz Composition by the Musik-Akademie (FHNW) of Basel (Switzerland). Her main teachers were the guitarist David Martínez and the pianist and composer Guillermo Klein. As a singer, she was the soloist of the Big Band “Swing and Funky” and a member of the “a cappella” group “Sietemasuno”, were she took the role of singer and arranger and toured around Europe. She was a resident artist in “FaveLab” (Athens, Greece) and “Buinho” (Messejana, Portugal), where she composed her songs for guitar and voice “Songs at the window” that were premiered in the I Festival of Emergent Art in Lucena (Spain). She has received several prizes, as the Third Prize in the IX International Guitar Contest “Julián Arcas - José Tomás” or the First Prize in the I National Contest of Young Talents in Salamanca (Spain).
